For characters that aren't on 1415 yet, you can get the gold from Oreha's just fine. For those that hit 1415, Valtan provides more gold than Oreha's. this. and also it has happened to every single abyss you have done already starting from t1. To add to what others have said, a lot of it is the bosses hitting harder and enrage mechanics.
